CHURCH DIRECTORY NEWS There will be a directory proof at the Welcome Desk June 2nd through June 23rd. Please stop by and make sure your information is correct. If your info is not correct, please con-tact Connie in the Church Office at 706-896-2281. Those with smart phones, computers and iPads are encouraged to ac-cess the directory online as the online directory will be kept up-to-date as changes are reported to the church office. For those without online access, tentative plans are to print and distribute the directory in July. The cost per directory is $5, limited to one copy per family.

CHURCH DIRECTORY HELP DESK A helpdesk will be set up in the Welcome area today and next Sunday, June 9th, to assist those who have not yet ac-cessed the church directory on your smartphone or at-home computers. If you have an Android, Kindle, iPhone, or iPad and want to view the online directory, please bring them in, or pick up an instruction sheet specific to your device.

DEACON SERVANTS Our deacons serve for terms of three years after having been nominated and elected by the church. If you are a McConnell church member, you will be asked for your input by prayer-fully submitting up to five names for consideration. Nomi-nees must have been a McConnell church member for at least one year and meet the biblical requirements for serv-ing. Recommendation forms, as well as the biblical qualifica-tions to serve, will be available at the Welcome Center be-ginning June 2nd. The deadline for submitting nominations is June 23rd.

TOWNS COUNTY GIRLS BASKETBALL CAR WASH | 6.8 Come, get your car washed, and support Coach Hunnicut and the Towns County Girl’s Basketball Team! They will be in the McConnell Parking Lot Saturday, June 8th, from 10 am - 3 pm

CHURCH COUNCIL | 6.11 The Church Council exists to assist in planning, coordinating and evaluating various church and ministry activities. The church council will meet on Tuesday, June 11th, at 7 pm in the choir suite. All standing committee chairmen, program directors & ministry team leaders/coordinators are invited to attend this important meeting.

INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION | 6.30 Join us Sunday morning, June 30th at 10:15 am for a cele-bration of our freedom with special patriotic music by the choir, directed by Chris Adams. RENTAL NEEDED! URBAN LEGENDS Summer Sermon Series, starting 6/9

Do you know someone who's seen Bigfoot's tracks? What about Nessie in Loch Ness? Of course, almost every kid has learned that there really are alligators living in the sewer. You know how it goes: someone sees something and tells someone who then tells someone else. On and on and on it goes until its hard to separate fact from fiction. This doesn't just happen with alligators, aliens, and Bigfoot... it happens with spiritual truths as well. Join us for the next four weeks as we separate fact from the fiction and debunk some spir-itual myths.
