*OPENING HYMN O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing David Crowder Band* Indicates an invitation to rise in body or spirit

O for a thousand tongues to sing my great Redeemer's praise, the glories ever echoing the triumphs of God’s grace!

My gracious Savior and my God, assist me to proclaim,to spread through all the earth abroad the honors of thy name.

Jesus! the name that calms our fears, that bids our sorrows cease;is music in the sinner's ears, is life, and health, and peace.

Christ speaks, and listening to his voice, new life the dead receive;the mournful, broken hearts rejoice, the humble poor believe.

Glory to God, and love and praise be ever, ever givenBy all the saints in every age, the church in earth and heaven.

HYMN I was There to Hear Your Borning Cry** Indicates an invitation to rise in body or spirit

I was there to hear your borning cry,I’ll be there when you are old.I rejoiced the day you were baptized,to see your life unfold.I was there when you were but a child, with a faith to suit you well;In a blaze of light you wandered offto find where demons dwell. When you heard the wonder of the WordI was there to cheer you on;You were raised to praise the living Lord,to whom you now belong. If you find someone to share your timeand you join your hearts as one,I’ll be there to make your verses rhymefrom dusk ‘til rising sun.

In the middle ages of your life, not too old, no longer young,I’ll be there to guide you through the night, complete what I’ve begun. When the evening gently closes in,and you shut your weary eyes,I’ll be there as I have always beenwith just one more surprise.

I was there to hear your borning cry,I’ll be there when you are old.I rejoiced the day you were baptized,to see your life unfold.

THE GREAT THANKSGIVING

God of heaven and earth, God of grape and grain. You welcome us into this good creation at our birth, You sustain us with Your presence through each of our days, and You welcome us home at last into joy unknown. Thosewhohavegonebeforeushaveshownusso; they spoke Your Word to us with Your love, they sang to us of Your great compassion and forgiveness, theystoodfirmforYourjusticeandmercy. It was Your presence, pressing through them, that infused thisworldwithJoy,andopenedasacredspaceforthe Spirit to sow the seeds of fruit forthcoming. And so, with them, and with all the company of heaven, we praise Your name and join their unending song: People: Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might, heaven and earth are full of Your glory. Hosanna in the highest. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

Bishop: HolyareYou,andblessedisyourSonJesusChrist, who, even now, walks with us in love, sings to us of compassion and forgiveness, standsfirmwithusforjusticeandmercy, nourishes us with grape and grain, and gives himself for our sake, and for the sake of all creation, just as he did with those who now rest with you. People: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

Bishop: Pour out Your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. Renew our communion with all Your saints, especially those whom we name before You now.

God of grape and grain, God of fruitful servants, God of us, here, growing in faith, stretch our arms in need of You, cup our palms to receive from You, feed us with gifts from You, we humbly ask and implore. Recreate us in Your image as we encounter You at table today, so, like those we remember in love, our own lives might ignite a Love to light the world, where heavy hearts shiver in lonely cold. Let your presence pressing through us infusethisworldwithJoy. ThroughYourSonJesusChrist, and with Your Holy Spirit always at work within and without, all honor and glory is Yours, Loving God, now and forever. People: Amen.

Bishop: The feast of God is designed not to satisfy our physical appetites, buttofillourhungerandthirstfortheHoly, for Love, for Righteousness, for Mercy, for fruit-bearing lives that sing of Good News. The table has long been set and there has always been a place for you. Jesusbeckonsyounow,“Come!” Come, beloved, in witness to your life in Christ and in communion with one another and with those who have gone on before us, come, beloved, gather around the heavenly table.

For Communion, please follow the ushers’ instructions. There will be two gluten-free stations; one center front and one at the rear.

The LOVE Offering, collected by local churches to support local, national and global mission outreach, will be received at each Communion station.

As Communion is served, the Scripture will be read in a number of languages that are used throughout the Conference. As the elements are brought forward, all the liturgists will read the

Scripture in their respective language at the same time.

PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION

All: O God of endings and beginnings, move with us now in this occasion of last things and new things, of passings, of letting go, and of holding firm to Love itself. We thank You that Love has fed us in Jesus’ holy meal, source of our strength and salvation. May the mystery of Jesus’ presence with us in this simple yet abundant feast quiet us to awe, so the grape and the grain may have space to grow within and soon feed a hungry world. Amen.
