Working on your Core
RttT TeamandYOU!
Do you know what the core curriculum is? Yes, my is my abs
and obliques...the old six-pack…the situation.
No, it is not your situation. It is the adopted core curriculum and revised standards for the state of Ohio.
What about the old curriculum? Well, with calisthenics
with deep knee bends, free weights, and my Thighmaster I did alright. Now, I have Pilates and yoga.
No, the old curriculum is good but the new one addresses the needs of a new century with new technology!
Do you know how to access the core curriculum?
Yes, I do. I have some DVDs with Yoga master Rodney Yee. He’s great!
Not quite. We will visit the Ohio Department of Education site for the standards.
Do you know how we are going to strengthen our core curriculum? Absolutely, we have
Pilates balancing balls and yoga mat. I’ve put together a few vinyasas you’d like!
No, we strengthen our core by becoming familiar with the new standards, how they are available, and begin the transition with our 21st Century skills.
Are you clear about our new core?
I guess. We are going to do a lot of the old things in a different way so we can prepare our students for success today and in the future.
Exactly.
