1THE IDENTITYMY PERSONAL STORY
For a long time in my life, I could not fully accept who I am. I always wanted to be someone else. I am a Virgo and my blood type is A. Apparently, I don't have a sense of humor. But I wanted to be a fun and cool person so much. But the most common scene was that, I stood embarrassingly in a crowd after I shared a boring joke and listened to other people talking something is truly fun. I am a petite girl, and I have really short legs. But I always wanted to wear like a super model, to wear something fancy and chic but absolutely not fits my body type. So the most common scene was that, I overwhelmed by a huge coat or my legs looked extremely short. I am not good at math at all, but I wanted to be a girl who masters the knowledge in the field of economics. So I chose economics and actuarial science as my major during college and my academic life was kind of miserable. I could keep talking about this. But one thing is clear: I was not happy and suffered a lot. Gradually, I realized that always want to be someone else is actually making myself lose my uniqueness. Everyone is unique in this world. Rather than forcing myself to be some one else, I should accept my self, and become a better me. And thinking in the opposite way, the conclusions will be totally different: I may not be fun and cool. But I’m a good listener. I don’t have beautiful long legs, but I still could wear in a style that cover my weakness and show my strengths. And thanks to my interests in fashion and beauty industry, I found an internship in this field and my boss appreciates my fashion sense. I may not good at learning math and economics, but I’m not regret right now. If I didn’t choose a field that is not in my comfort zone, my vision will be much narrower than now. Right now, I still constantly lack of confidence, but I accept this and focus more on improving myself.
