For the 11th consecutive year WOP DUBAI was organized under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE, Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Municipality. The exhibition took placed on November 12, 13 and 14, 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, alongside, the 14th edition of IPM DUBAI – International Plants Expo Middle East, the region’s leading exhibition for plants and flowers. Both shows were inaugurated by H.E. Buti Saeed Al Ghandi, Second Vice Chairman of the Board, Dubai World Trade Centre authority along with H.E. Thomas Kufen – the Lord Mayor of the city of Essen and are organized by planetfair Dubai and Messe Essen GmbH in cooperation with the Dubai Municipality and Dubai Central Fruit and Vegetable Market, the Middle East’s biggest market for import and export. The total outcome of the show this year reflected again the huge growth in the trade of perishables in the Middle East and proved the position of WOP DUBAI as the only trade fair for fresh produce in the region as well as strengthen the emirates of Dubai as an important destination and a worldwide trading center for fruits and vegetables. The constant growth of past years continued this year.

I would like to thank the government of Dubai and Dubai Municipality for the professional support. Middle East and GCC particularly is one of the fastest growing regions in the world and the city of Dubai is the Middle East’s dynamic and diversified business hub for all industries including the fresh produce business. 2020 edition will continue its success with the same venue “Dubai World Trade Centre” expecting another substantial increase of space and capacity to provide our exhibitors more services and space options.

WOP DUBAI 2019 will continue its success at the same venue in Dubai World Trade Centre - the most prestigious exhibition center in the Middle East - where it is expected to have another substantial increase of space and capacity for the exhibition and to provide exhibitors more services and space options.

The International Plants Expo Middle East - IPM DUBAI 2019 took place parallel to WOP DUBAI 2019. The most important trade fair for the green economic sector, which attracts hundreds of international exhibitors under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Airports.

WOP DUBAI 2019 profile was entirely focused towards the fresh fruits and vegetables trade with a good share of the services providers such as logistic transport and fresh produce media. Based on the feedback we received from visitors, wholesalers, and biggest distributors within the region, WOP DUBAI 2019 profile will be planned to expand and cover all the major categories of the fresh produce industry including Technical Equipment, Safety, Logistics and other related services.

For eleventh consecutive years, the co-operation with Dubai Municipality Central Fruit & Vegetable Department was the success pillar of WOP DUBAI. Dubai Municipality's sponsorship of the annual exhibition reflects its keenness to contribute to the emirate’s reputation and its role as a thriving commercial hub, and its efforts to complement Dubai's growth and development in various sectors, especially the commercial sector. The exhibition, over the past ten years, has been extremely successful in helping businesses explore new opportunities by connecting investors, decision-makers and other stakeholders. WOP DUBAI 2019 provides an ideal platform for businesses in the fresh produce industry to meet, network & explore prospective partnerships. Fruit & Vegetables Trader’s Group & several SME Local Companies participated in WOP DUBAI 2019 WOP DUBAI continues remarkable cooperation with Dubai Municipality represented by Dubai Central Fruit & Vegetables Market, the region’s largest market for fresh produce. Dubai Central Fruit & Vegetables Market developed an outstanding partnership with WOP DUBAI. This partnership – with the largest center for trade and distribution of fresh produce in the Middle East ensured that WOP DUBAI continues to be the most important meeting point of the industry in the Middle East. Six local companies of Fruit & Vegetables Trader’s Group Committee were participated for the first time and eight SME local tenants were presented their services and products in a special presentation and exceptional oriented stand designs in WOP DUBAI 2019.
