Anuradha KapoorPresident

I discovered my passion for writing around 5 years back which led me to become a freelance author, blogger and content writer. I am proud to have written more than a 100 blogs and around 30 short stories till date. I have compiled most of my stories into a book by the name of 'STORIES FROM THE HEART' and an ebook ‘The Facade'. I was recently awarded by the Women Economic Forum for being an Exceptional Woman of Excellence, by the Indian Awaz for being an inspirational author in the year 2018, title of Influential author by The Spiritmania and the prestigious Swami Vivekananda Award for Excellence in literature among various other accolades. I have conducted various blogging and story writing workshops for adults and children. My hobbies are listening to music, reading books and watching films. Whenever I watch a movie, whether Hollywood or Bollywood, I find myself resonating with the characters. The way they talk, laugh, cry or dance becomes an important portion of my life too. Most movies that I’ve watched till date have inspired me in some way or the other and I feel the creativity within me that persuaded me to start writing was somewhere inspired by the films that I’ve grown up watching. I’m extremely happy to be a part of the ALL Indian Cinema chapter as I feel it would surely help me to grow in my field. I am looking forward to increase my knowledge and enhance my creative skills in the company of many other like minded soul sisters.

I am a person who has always loved things “creative”! Although born in Kolkata, I have spent much of my childhood first in Karnal and later in Hisar, Haryana. I was still in Class V, when we shifted to Kolkata, where I completed my schooling from MB Girls’ High School (now Mahadevi Birla World Academy). It was during these years that I discovered my love for the Arts and found myself involved in almost every co-curricular activity at the school - projects, paintings, plays, flower-shows, dancing, music (even played the bongo in our school orchestra), and eventually had the honour of being elected as the Gold House Captain. I graduated with Hons in English Literature from Calcutta University and later went on to acquire a Master’s Degree in English Literature from Delhi University. As a professional, my combined thirst for creativity and literature lead me quite spontaneously to the world of Advertising and till date I love every bit of it. I had the good fortune to work as a Copywriter in some of the best known Ad Agencies of our times - Clarion (now Bates), Lowe Lintas, Enterprise Nexus Direct, Rediffusion - from 1990 till year 2000 - post which I decided to float my own enterprise. The brands I wrote for included Rollick Ice Creams, Duckback, The Kenilworth Hotel, Gold Flake, Capstan, Berkeley, Berger Paints, Khaitan Fans, The Taj Bengal, The Oberoi Grand, Eveready, Tez Chai, Haldia Petrochemicals, among many others. In year 2001, along with my husband, we started VOYAGERS ADVERTISING SERVICES, and where we offer brand communication solutions to varied Clients. In my career span of close to a 30 years in the industry, with the many the highs and lows - I can only say with conviction - there is nothing quite unique as thinking up a new idea and thinking it differently, each day!
