the sidewinder1 | Apply two coats of a bright

shade (we used neon yellow) to all 10 nails, and allow them to dry for five minutes.

2 | Leaving about four millimetres of space on the left side and tips of each nail, carefully apply a coat or two of opaque blackpolish so that the bright colour lines the nail.

3 | Seal your manicure by applying a top coat to each nail.

the negative space1 | Use a small paint brush or lip

brush to apply a stripe of red polish across the bottom third of each nail, leaving the cuticle area clean.

2 | Apply a second stripe two to three millimetres above the first one.

3 | Using the nail polish brush, paint upward from the top stripe to fill in your tips.

4 | Seal your manicure by applying a top coat to each nail.

the chrome stripe1 | Grab a four-inch strip of

transparent tape and paint it with the chrome or metallic shade of your choice. Allow to dry for an hour.

2 | Paint all 10 nails with two coats of your base shade (we used a pretty nude) and allow to dry for 20 minutes.

3 | Carefully cut the painted tape into stripes using a pair of sharp eyebrow scissors (they help with precision). Apply the strips in the desired location on each nail and lightly tap it into place.

4 | Seal your manicure by applying a top coat overtop of the tape on each nail.

the deep V1 | Paint all 10 nails with one coat

of a dark opaque shade (we used a burnt orange).

2 | Using a small paint brush, create a large X over each nail with a second shade (we used a denim blue), from cuti-cle to tip. This is your guide.

3 | Paint over your nails with the second shade by following the guide to fill in each section except for the bottom triangle of the X so that the first shade shows through.

4 | Seal your manicure by applying a top coat to each nail.
