SHUTTING DOWN
If your computer freezes, do not press the power button until you have tried the Task Manager. This window shows four running processes. If the status of a process indicates that there is a problem, end the task.
ALWAYS SHUT DOWN PROPERLY. The shut-down options are to the right of the Start Menu.
To open the Task Manager:
Ctrl+Alt+Delete OR
Just a few examples:
cut, paste, undo, find, open Task Manager,
stop (sometimes), etc.

NOTE: In Office 2013, Microsoft wants you to store your files in OneDrive in the cloud.
YOUR NEW FOLDERS
To create a new folder:
On the Desktop, rightclick an empty spot. On the context menu, select New, then Folder.
In an existing folder, click New Folder at the top of the window.
To name your new folder:
Do not click anywhere!
While the name box is still highlighted, just start typing.
Always give your folders and files descriptive names; you can search for them later by significant words.
These names are not case-sensitive. Spaces are okay.
