    launched by the nonprofit organization,

    The Natural Capital Institute in May 2007(naturalcapital.org).

    project team includes researchers,

    activists, writers, social entrepreneurs,

    students, volunteers, and open source

    the site is free to use and does not

    include any advertising or corporatesponsors

    the site works in a similar way to

    Wikipedia where anyone can edit or add

    information

    The site was built to
