In September 2000, the WIPO Assemblies approved the creation of “a substantial new program of activities, focusing on the IP-related needs of SMEs worldwide”

effective use of IP asset management strategies by SMEs for strengthening their competitiveness, especially in developing countries, LDCs and countries with economies in transition

guided in the completion of a patent application form. NOTAP conducts a global search through the PIDC.
