DAYMARK D IGEST
Daymark’s Turning Point pro-
gram regularly has 11 residents living
in the Lee Street facility. Last year,
Turning point served 5,332 meals.
With all those hungry teenagers in one
place, the kitchen is the most popular
and busiest place in the house.
Due to a generous grant from
the Glotfelty Foundation, Turning Point
residents now have a brand new kitch-
en and a remodeled common/dining
area perfect for snacks, quick and easy
breakfasts, and family style dinners.
The grant was given in
memory of Betty Anne Smith who de-
voted her life and career to West Virgin-
ia’s children. She was the long time
Executive Director of Family Service of
Kanawha Valley and was involved in a
variety of youth initiatives including the
Glotfelty Foundation and Daymark’s
Board of Directors.
