Daymark, Incorporated T URNING P OINT GETS A NEW KITCHEN , THANKS TO A GRANT FROM THE G LOTFELTY F OUNDATION Winter 2018 D AYMARK D IGEST Daymark’s Turning Point pro- gram regularly has 11 residents living in the Lee Street facility. Last year, Turning point served 5,332 meals. With all those hungry teenagers in one place, the kitchen is the most popular and busiest place in the house. Due to a generous grant from the Glotfelty Foundation, Turning Point residents now have a brand new kitch- en and a remodeled common/dining area perfect for snacks, quick and easy breakfasts, and family style dinners. The grant was given in memory of Betty Anne Smith who de- voted her life and career to West Virgin- ia’s children. She was the long time Executive Director of Family Service of Kanawha Valley and was involved in a variety of youth initiatives including the Glotfelty Foundation and Daymark’s Board of Directors.
