• What was expected to be a relaxing weekend retreat for this areafamily, quickly took a turn for the worse when a prison break in the

neighboring county led to crossing paths with a notorious bandit.

• Officials say that with the help of the notorious JandesBrothers, a daring prison break was orchestrated overthe weekend, as shown here in this surveillance picture.

Teamed up with the Jandes Trio was Drew “Bear”Yarger, thought to be the mastermind of the break.

After a string of assaults on the local citizens, the gangsought refuge in a Wimberly home, rounding out theirday of lawlessness on the run by breaking and entering.

Once authorities caught their trail, they quickly setup a perimeter, and brought in sharpshooters to

put an end to the standoff.

As the law began to close them in, things quicklybegan to deteriorate and the gang began

fighting amongst themselves.

A crowd quickly formed as the standoff continued. Thelocal police called in for reinforcements, and their callwas answered by the head of the Texas Rangers……

The Bear took advantage of his comrades capture to boltout the house and make a run for a getaway vehicle.

He didn’t make it far before deputies caught up with him,and he was quickly surrounded, pulled from the escape

vehicle, and taken into custody..

Once in custody, his flight from the law did not stop there.Unbeknownst to the authorities, the Bear had a backup plan. A plan

forged with the assistance of rogue Army buddies!

After commandeering the prison van, the Bear made hisdaring escape shouting and taunting authorities as he

drove off into the countryside!

Authorities are currently searching for Drew “The Bear” Yarger,last seen in the Wimberly area. Officials are warning

citizens not to approach him, as he may be armed anddangerous. Call your local police if you spot him.
