This is a story about Willow

Four year old Willow, her mommy and Eric, her mommy’s boyfriend drove from Chicago, Illinois to Murray, Kentucky for a summer vacation.

After a very long ride in the car

and a good night’s sleep, Willow was ready toenjoy her first day on Kentucky Lake.She had a brand new life jacket just right forher, a yellow straw hat to protect her from thesun’s rays, and was wearing her underwear.Her mommy rubbed lotion all over her andlowered her into the lake, in the arms of agrown-up.

There she splashed and paddled.

Swimming with the fishes! Oh what fun!

On the second day of Willow’s visit to Kentucky Lake, Willow put on a new bathing suit, her lifejacket and her sunscreen.

She was again lowered into the lake and intothe arms of the grown-ups who love her. Shesplashed and paddled with the fishes! Oh whatfun!

Suddenly a boat pulled up to the dock. It was Tom.

He came to take Willow, her mommy, and Ericfor a boat ride to see the eagles and their nestson the other side of the lake.

And off they went.

The boat roared through the lake leaving a trail of white foam behind it.

Then it was time to leave Murray, Kentucky and drive back to Chicago, Ilinois.

Everyone had a good time splashing andpaddling in Kentucky Lake, especially Willow
