STARTING A SCHOOL GARDEN

Plans are underway to start up a school gardening program and we need you! A committee is needed to

plan and implement an agricultural experience for students, staff, and community on our school

property. If you are interested in gardening, fresh food, getting our children involved in agriculture, and

seeing God's creation flourish, please contact Maggie Van Seters (maggie@itb.ca) for further

information. Thank you!

PERFUME REMINDER

Because some of our staff are sensitive to perfumes and other strong smells, we remind parents to be

careful about scents when they/children are at school. Even strong-smelling laundry detergents or

deodorants (e.g. Axe) can cause a reaction to some staff members (not the type of reaction you see in

the Axe commercials...)

EDUDEO

A big thank you to all the runners, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make the Edudeo "Road to

Hope" fundraiser a success. We raised $2752.05...exceeding our goal of $2500.00 by a significant

margin. WOW!

ORANGE AID

APPLE PIE FUNDRAISER

A huge thank-you to all the wonderful ladies who helped out with the apple pie make - from organizing,

to peeling, to fluting, to assembling and babysitting. Altogether we made 264 pies with a profit of over

$1000.00 for our school!

BIG BROTHERS

Just a reminder of our ongoing Big Brothers fundraiser. Pack up those outgrown clothes, never used

purses, too small shoes and drop them off at the school. We get paid $2.50 for every medium sized

garbage bag full. Profits really add up over a year. Any questions, contact Hilary Slump.
