This manual contains all information on license setup for use of WIBU licensed

CENIT software. By following the steps contained in this manual you can either

setup a single workstation or a license server that can be used by multiple

workstations. If you need information about setting up WIBU on other operating

systems see the WIBU installation guide provided by WIBU Systems.

When you are installing a CENIT product WIBU will automatically be in-

stalled together with all other dependencies. If you need to install a WIBU

server you can download the WIBU installer directly from following site:

https://www.wibu.com/anwendersoftware.html

After successfully installed WIBU the icon of the CodeMeter ControlCenter will ap-

pear on the lower right corner of your windows taskbar on your main monitor.

The CodeMeter control center allows you to check the current status of your WIBU

licensing and gives you access to your license containers. You can open the cont-

rol center by clicking on the taskbar icon. If the control center is not started you can

open it via the start menu:

“Start / All programs / CodeMeter / CodeMeter Control Center”

After starting the control center you should see following window:

If you are on the license Tab when the control center is started you can see the

WIBU container and the current status on the left side. By clicking WebAdmin on

the lower right corner you can access the WebAdmin that allows you to make additio-

some of the license types may not be available in your region. The available licen-

ses are explained in the following chapters.

Single workstation dongle license You received a licensing dongle together with your installation package. The single

workstation dongle will only hold one license that can be used on the machine

where the dongle is plugged in. To add licenses to the dongle follow the steps

explained below:

• Plug in your WIBU Dongle

• Request license for new vendor • Send the license request to CENIT

Single workstation software based license (SoftLicense)Your machine has no USB Port and you are forced to use a software based license.

Software based licenses are bound to a machine and cannot be transferred to

another machine. To receive a software based license you can follow the steps

described below:

• Request License Container for new vendor (SoftLicense) This container is

• Send the license request to CENIT

Server/Client System Dongle licenseYou have received a licensing dongle together with your installation package. The

server dongle allows you to run CENIT software on multiple client workstations

that are connected to the server. To add licenses to the dongle and setup the ser-

ver and client system follow the steps described below:

• Plug the WIBU dongle into your server

• Request license for new vendor

• Send the license request to CENIT

• After receiving the update File you can activate your license

• Check if the license was installed correctly

• Setup the License Server

• Setup the Client Systems

Server/Client System software based license (SoftLicense)Your server machine has no USB Port and are forced to use a software based licen-

se. The software based license is bound to a machine and cannot be transferred

to another server. To setup a license server using a software based license you can

follow the steps described below:

• On your server you have to request a new license Container for new vendor (SoftLicense) This container is only used to check your hardware

Add CENIT Licenses to owned WIBU DongleIf you already have a WIBU dongle that is used for licensed software of other ven-

dors you can add the CENIT licenses to the same dongle. This can be done for

single workstations or server dongles. To add CENIT licenses to the dongle follow

the steps below.

• Create a new license request• Send the license request to CENIT

License Update Button.

The CmFAS assistant will be started. Click on the “NEXT” button to Continue.

Check the “Create license request” Button and click “Next”

Select “Add license of a new vendor” and click “Next”

You will be asked to enter the CENIT FirmCode. Enter 6000119 and click the

“Next” button.

Select a folder where you want to save the license request. By clicking “Commit”

the license request will be created.

The CmFAS assistant will be started. Click on the “Next” button to Continue.

In order to activate a License File that you have received from CENIT after sending

the license request, you should open the CodeMeter Control Center. Then drag

To setup a WIBU License server start the WebAdmin as described in Chapter

“CodeMeter Control Center and WebAdmin”�� &OLFN� ÷&RQŎJXUDWLRQ� ò� 6HUYHU� ò� Server Access”

To setup a WIBU Client system start the WebAdmin as described in Chapter

“CodeMeter Control Center and WebAdmin“��&OLFN�÷&RQILJXUDWLRQ�ò�%DVLF�ò� Server Search List”.

Click “add new Server”.

Now the IP address or computer name of the license server to your client

system can be added. Click “Add” to confirm your input. Click “Apply” to

apply your changes.

If you are using a server / client Installation this view is only available on the server.

Ĭ LICENSE STATUS To see if a license was activated correctly or check current status of your license,

start the WebAdmin as described in Chapter License Monitorong “CodeMeter

Control Center and WebAdmin”. There you can open the licence monitor that

displays a list of all your licenses.
