Message from the Dean of the Medical Faculty in Skopje and
the Macedonian Medical Students’ Association
“The World Healthcare Students’ Symposium is the largest
international multi-disciplinary conference of its kind, uniting
healthcare students from many different professions under one
banner, with the sole purpose of improving care for all. Through
sharing of knowledge in lectures and seminars, collective learning of new skills and a melting
pot of students from different cultures, we believe this congress brings great benefit to the
professional world. We are therefore proud to welcome and support the 6th WHSS by hosting
this event by the Macedonian Medical Students’ Association and under the patron of the
Faculty of Medicine in Skopje and our University”
REGISTRATION:
Only a limited number of participants will be accepted from which 350 international students
and 100 domestic students.
Early registration:
Starting from late May to 10th of September 2015
Price: 200 euro
Late registration:
Starting from 10th of September to 10th of October 2015
Price: 250 euro

Registration is done via the official page of the 6th WHSS, www.whss2015.com and the
registration price includes: Hotel stay with full board, Registration Fee, Transport from airport
or bus/train station in Skopje and activities during the symposium.
World Healthcare Students’
Symposium (WHSS) is the
biggest international event for
healthcare students. It involves
350 international participants
and 100 domestic participants;
students of General Medicine,
Pharmacy, Dentistry,
Physiotherapy Veterinary, and
other healthcare professions,
spending 5 days together in a
congress. It is held every two
years, with this year being the
6th WHSS.
When and Where? 17th – 22nd November Skopje, Macedonia Hotel Continental
REGISTRATION PROCESS AND CONGRESS INFO
Once you go to www.whss2015.com , find the registration sport and press register. Fulfill the
info that is required and the first step of registration is done. The next step is analyzing your
application and if it is proper and good enough, in maximum of one week, you will receive an
email for acceptance to attend the 6th World Healthcare Students’ Symposium. Together with
the acceptance email, the participants get an invoice for payment which has to be done in the
next 2-4 weeks.
Note that only 350 International participants will
be accepted, so that is the main reason why we
are analyzing the applications and only the best
350 will be able to attend. Also note that limited
number of one profession can be accepted so
the balance of the participants can be as equal
as possible.
Registration for workshops will start at late September when most of the workshops will be
settled. An email will be send to all participants for registration for the workshops.
The following professions will be able to attend the symposium:
General Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Veterinary, Physiotherapy, Nursing, Chiropractic.
Equal participation of all professions, high-quality standards, participants from all around the world under one banner.

ABOUT SKOPJE
Skopje is the capital and
largest city in Republic of
Macedonia. It is the countries’
political, cultural, economic and
academic center. The territory of
Skopje has been inhabited since at
least 4000 B.C.
The city of Skopje is the birthplace of
Mother Teresa. One of the greatest monuments
is the memorial house of Mother Teresa, the
place where she lived before she departed on
her mission of charity.
The keeper of the city is the famous KALE
fortress that overlooks the modern city center.
The biggest old bazaar in Eastern Europe dating
from the time of the Ottoman (Turkish) Empire,
is located in the city and is now one of the most
frequent areas, rich with traditional
architecture, churches and mosques, bars and restaurants.

Macedonia is a country
located in the central Balkan
Peninsula, in Southeastern

country in the world. It is also

THEMES OF THE SYMPOSIUM
The 6th World Healthcare Students’ Symposium will have 3 main
topics and themes that will be discussed and presented during
the 3 days.
Day 1 - Global Health and One Health
Day 2 - Ethics and Equality, a Global Perspective
Day 3 - Developing Healthcare and Progressive Therapies
AGENDA AND PROGRAM
The 6th WHSS will have 3 full
days of congress and 1 day of
sight-seen, activity fair and
presentations. The scientific
program will be composed of
lectures, workshops, panel
discussions, trainings,
presentations, etc. A
certificate of attendance will
be issued to every active
participant that will be
present on more than 50% of
the scientific program
activities.
MOST OF THE COUNTRIES DO NOT REQUIRE A VISA TO GET TO MACEDONIA.

With EU Schengen visa type C you can stay in Macedonia for up to 15 days We will provide an official invitation letters for all of the participants We will also provide an official support letter from the University Ss. Cyril and
Methodius – Skopje , Medical Faculty Skopje The validity of the passport or other travel document of the applicant has to be
minimum 3 (three) months. * For all those delegates that don’t have a Macedonian embassy in their country, they
have to apply for visa online or via DHL but when the visa will be issued, it have to be picked up from the nearest embassy. The details of the process will be announced really soon.
TRAVELING AND VISA
We must state that the organizing committee of WHSS 2015 will provide all the delegates with special support letters and the ministry of foreign affairs will be contacted directly by the University.
Note that all the participants that will be accepted within the limited number of 350 participants, must pay the participation fee which includes full board accommodation, registration fee, transport
from airport or bus/train station, and will then get the invitation letter for issuing the visa, if needed.

Skopje, the capital city of Macedonia is connected to all regional capital and non-capital
cities. Roundtrip bus tickets can be purchased from the regional capitals like Belgrade (Serbia),
Sofia (Bulgaria), Tirana (Albania), even from Zagreb (Croatia), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Milano (Italy),
etc. The average cost of the tickets is from 20 to maximum of 40-50 euro!
