"Smokey" is being treated for multiple Myeloma cancer & will be getting a stem cell transplant in August. To help with the expenses a benefit has been scheduled at Anodyne Coffee in Milwaukee. Doors open at 5 & the music is scheduled to begin at 6 PM. Scheduled performers include GREG KOCH, TWEED FUNK, Shonn Hinton, Marvelous Mack, the Blues Disciples with guest REVEREND RAVEN plus Timothy Charles & the Blind Fiction. It's FREE but since this is a benefit a $15 per person donation is suggested. If your schedule allows plan to stop in, hear some great music and help out a talented musician.

Happens in East Tawas, MICHIGAN and returns for the 15th time in 2016. Held in East Tawas Harbor Park by the water with plenty of parking nearby. NO carry ins, pets or smoking on the grounds. Bring your own seating (no loungers or footrests) and grounds open ONE hour before the first band. Tickets run ONLY $25 for all 3 days & children under 10 are free - same prices charged in 2015! The full bill for 2016 is NOW COMPLETE! Music starts 8/26 at 6 PM w/RAY FULLER & THE BLUESROCKERS followed by TORONZO CANNON. Aug. 27 CROSSROAD BLUES FESTIVAL 2016

Returns for 2016 to Lyran Park in Rockford, ILLINOIS. Gates open at 11 AM and the music starts at noon. Food and drink will be available on the grounds. Somehow Crossroads has already completed the 2016 lineup! This must be some kind of a record. Not only is it done (note that most contracts allow an artist to cancel so cross your fingers) but it's a FANTASTIC BILL!! The 2016 Festival features TAD ROBINSON, REVEREND PAYTON'S BIG DAMN BAND, JOANNA CONNOR, the GHOST TOWN BLUES BAND and the FLAMING MUDCATS!! Between acts Birddog & Beck keep the music comin'! Plus there's a FREE Harp workshop put on by Ken Olufs. The Doc might just have to try this one on for size. I'm thinkin' ROAD TRIP!!

Returns for year #2 to the Pavilion in Alpha, MICHIGAN! Gates open at 11 AM and music starts at 12:30 PM. First up on the bill is Carolyn Jo & Company followed by Greg Higgins, the Fireside Band, Tone Hawks with The Sons Of Legend taking the stage at 7 PM. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Child-ren under 12 are FREE with paid adult. Food and drink will be available. NO carry ins - bring a bag chair. In 2017 they'll be in a NEW venue - the Northern Wis-consin State Fairgrounds in Chippewa Falls, WI with greater camping and expanded lodging opportunities.
