Hello to all our lovely Knowsley children!

Happy holidays and a big well done for all of the hard work you’ve put in so far with your home learning. We’re so proud of you! We’re in the holiday season now and it’s important for you to rest, relax and enjoy your break.

For those of you who like to keep busy, we’ve set some exciting project work for you, for when you’re finding it difficult staying indoors. You can work on your project as much or a little as you like. You can choose your own order and which activities you’d like to complete (you might want to do them all!).

We look forward to seeing what you produce. Missing you all lots!

From all staff at

Knowsley Junior School

A Message

Holiday Geography Project LO: I can find out information about a country, using my geographical enquiry skills and can present my findings in an interesting and exciting way.

• Choose and research a country that you’re interested in: It could be somewhere you’ve been, somewhere that you’d like to visit or

somewhere that you know absolutely nothing about, but want to know more!

• Present your findings and key learning: You could make a PowerPoint, a poster, a non-fiction booklet or a one page profile

of your chosen country.

It could be handwritten or typed on a computer.

Think of your audience!

Imagine you are teaching other children about your chosen location.

What would you like to find out?

Try to produce something that could be used to display in school.

• Go to the next page for some ideas and help!

What is the capital city?

What does the flag look like?

What major languages are spoken there?

What is the population?

What is the weather like?

What is the climate like?
