How does it work?
Graduate Admissions

• Academic department involved in admissions decision
• Each department has their own requirements/expectations, what they view more important
• The Graduate Admissions makes the final decision but takes the recommendation of the department into account

Summer Work and TravelGoals of Program• Don’t see it as just getting a summer job, this opportu-
nity offers much more than that: • Offers a cultural experience in the United States. CIEE/
employer arranges cultural events• Builds intercultural competency/personal transformation• Improve your English• Get work job experience in a multicultural environment • Travel in the United States after your job• This is a great introduction to the United States, espe-
cially for those wishing to pursue a graduate degree in the United States.
Who can apply?• Students who study in Cyprus who have one or two
years of university left• Be at least 18 years old• Have at least a 7/10 GPA • Be able to communicate in English
Internships
Goals of the program:• For students who would like to work in the U.S. up to 14 months
to one year in their field.• Cultural experience in the United States and time to travel• Experience in your field of study• Improve English• Meet and network with others in your field
Who can Apply?• Students who have one more year to graduate or have gradu-
ated within the past year
• Students who have located a job in the United States, either paid or
unpaid in their field of study• Students who can communicate in English
Professional Career TrainingGoals of the program:• For students who would like to work in the U.S. from 3 months
