I live in Europe, Asia, and North America, in countries such as

Canada, United States of America, Germany, Switzerland, Poland,

Russia, Spain, and other countries in these areas.

My habitat

I live in high altitude forests with dense cover of brush and plants.

I like to eat…

I like to eat deer, fish, fox, sheep, squirrels, mice, birds, and goats.

Carnivore

I am special because…

It is illegal to hunt me in most places that I live in.

Most species of me are endangered, or close to becoming extinct, or having the species die out.

I am actually a genus, and have four separate species below me.

What I look like

I have a short tail, claws, and a ruff of fur under my neck. My colors can

range anywhere from medium brown, to gold, to beige white, and

occasionally have brown spots especially on my limbs (arms and

legs). My paws can be larger than a human hand.
