From the Scale Print - Green (H), cut:• (1) 5” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (6) 5” squares. Cut the squares across both diagonals to make (24) 5” triangles.

From the Words - Navy (I), cut:• (1) 2 ¾” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (12) 2 ¾” squares. Cut the squares across (1) diagonal to make (24) 2 ¾” triangles.

From the Houndstooth Basics - New Teal (J), cut:• (8) 4” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (80) 4” squares.

From the Dragons - Cream (Backing), cut:• (2) 51” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 51” x 73” back.

Block Assembly Note: Pay attention to the orientation of the components when assembling the quilt top.1. Sew (1) 2 ½” x 43” Fabric B strip to each side of the 23” x 43” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 3” x 27” Fabric B strip to the top and to the bottom of the Fabric A panel. Trim the block to measure 25 ½” x 47” to make the Center Block.

2. Sew (1) 2 ¾” Fabric G triangle and (1) 2 ¾” Fabric I triangle together along (1) short side. Sew (1) 5” Fabric H triangle to the Fabric I side of the sewn block. Sew (1) 4 ⅝” Fabric G triangle to the long side of the new triangle to make (1) Unit 1 (Fig. 2). Repeat to make (24) Unit 1 squares total.

3. Sew (4) Unit 1 blocks together to make (1) Block One square (Fig. 3). Unit should measure 8” square. Repeat to make (6) Block One squares total.

10. Sew (1) Unit 4 strip to the top and to the bottom of (1) Block One square to make (1) Side Border (Fig. 11). Repeat to make a second Side Border.

Quilt Top Assembly(Follow the Quilt Layout while assembling the quilt top.)11. Sew (1) 2” x 47” Fabric C strip to each side of the Center Block. Sew (1) 2” x 28 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and to the bottom of the Center Block.

12. Sew the Side, Top and Bottom Borders to the Center Block to make the quilt top.

13. Layer and quilt as desired.

14. Sew the (6) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric E strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

15. Bind as desired.

4. Place (1) 4” Fabric J square on the left side of 4” x 7 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 4). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper right corner to the lower left corner (Fig. 4). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Flip open the triangle formed and press (Fig. 5).

5. Place another 4” Fabric J square on the right side of the 4” x 7 ½” Fabric D strip, right sides together (Fig. 6). Sew across the diagonal of the square from the upper left corner to the lower right corner (Fig. 6). Trim away the excess fabric from behind the triangle, leaving a ¼” seam allowance. Flip open the triangle formed and press to make (1) Unit 2 strip (Fig. 7).

6. Repeat Steps 4-5 to make (40) Unit 2 strips total.

7. Sew (4) Unit 2 strips together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of (1) 1” x 28 ½” Fabric F strip lengthwise to make (1) Unit 3 strip (Fig. 8). Repeat to make a second Unit 3 strip.

8. Sew (3) Unit 2 strips together end to end. Repeat to make a second strip. Sew the strips to the top and to the bottom of (1) 1” x 21 ½” Fabric F strip lengthwise to make (1) Unit 4 strip (Fig. 9). Repeat to make a (4) Unit 4 strips total.

9. Sew (1) Block One square to each end of (1) Unit 3 strip to make the Top Border (Fig. 10). Repeat to make the Bottom Border.
