The FA Women’s Super League Sister Club programme is an FA-backed initiative which gives grassroots clubs the opportunity to become affiliated with a local FA WSL side.

Durham Women FC are one of fourteen clubs to be running the programme for the 2017/18 season, and will be recruiting Sister Clubs to partner up with us for the upcoming campaign.

Clubs will receive a number of benefits for being a Sister Club (explained further on the next page) in return for attendance at our FA WSL home games throughout the season.

These benefits give your players excelllent opportunities to engage with our FA WSL players at game days and training sessions, while your club will also be offered access to exclusive participation events and money can’t but experiences!

The programme is being offered free of charge to junior clubs, with all benefits dependent on hitting very achievable attendance targets which will be set at the start of the season.

WHAT IS EXPECTED OF SISTER CLUBS?

We want this programme to be beneficial to our Sister Clubs, so we won’t set any unrealistic expectations on them. All that will be expected of Sister Clubs is:

- To ensure that attendance targets are met and that they are actively encouraging all parents, players and staff to attend Durham Women FC home games.- To communicate with the Programme Officer to let them know of any issues, problems or if they have any concerns regarding the programme.- To attend all official Sister Club events, including tournaments.- To communicate with club staff in regards to Player Visits with plenty of notice.- To provide the club with any details necessary (e.g. email addresses, club lo-gos) to ensure the programme can be run smoothly.

Failure to hit attendance targets may see benefits withdrawn.
