INVITATION TO A PRESS CONFERENCE BY CONCERNED KENYANS

INSECURITY & CORRUPTION IN KENYA: WHO DOES THE BUCK STOP WITH?

DATE: SUNDAY, 30th NOVEMBER 2014

VENUE: 680 HOTEL, TAJ PALACE ROOM, NAIROBI

TIME: 11:00HRS This is an invitation to a press conference this Sunday the 30th of November, 2014 at 11:00HRS at the 680 Hotel convened by concerned Kenyans including: Prof. Yash Pal Ghai, Hon. Martha Karua, Gladwell Otieno, John Githongo, George Kegoro among others.

The past two weeks has seen an outpouring of anger and frustration by Kenyans as a result of the deteriorating security situation in the country and the governments response to it. The meltdown on the security front, combined with unprecedented corruption threatens the aspirations that make up the spirit of our new constitution. Furthermore, it has created among citizens a sense of fear and despondency. These concerns are above politics and threaten the very coherence of Kenya as stable and united Nation State at peace with itself.

On Behalf of Concerned Kenyans

JOHN GITHONGO
