There have been many
changes in the Village this
past year, and we have
pulled all our resources
together to bring you this
issue of “The County Line.”
We would like to congratu-
late the Village Hall on win-
ning the Christmas decora-
tion contest for the first
time. Great job to the new
Village Hall officers ! Enjoy
your plaque for the next
year, Baker’s, the Café, and
LTC/TVC will be stepping
up our game in 2015 !!
The good news about wait-
ing to deliver the Newslet-
ter is that I got to talk to
many people that generous-
ly help me gather infor-
mation. These “town gos-
sipers” are very helpful.
Thank you.
(And by town gossipers I
mean Don Austin & Pappy.)
We hope you enjoy it and
again I personally apologize
to everyone reading this for
not bringing the Newsletter
to you sooner. We will
prevail in 2015 !

Many inquiring minds around
Lennon have asked me,
“Where is my Newsletter?”
The answer is simple. We
have been busy here at the
Office, and there hasn’t been
any extra time to write the
newsletter.
I’ve even had relatives in
Florida yell at me. :(
Do I feel bad? Yes.
Will we try harder to make
time for the Newsletter?
Yes.
Will the citizens of Lennon
and its surrounding areas
forgive me? I’m not sure,
but I sincerely hope so.
If it makes you feel better,
go to www.lentel.com,
print out my picture, cut
it out and make a target
with it. I wouldn’t blame
you if you did. Maybe my
relatives in Florida already have.
I think you get our point,
we really do feel bad. We
will try harder this year !
Now that the question of
the Newsletter has been
answered, can we now
concentrate on the cur-
rent events of Lennon and
start this New Year out
right?
Definitely.
Happy 2015 ! This will be
a great year for the Len-
non area. Things are
starting to look up both
economically & socially. I
believe we will see a few
new businesses open in
this area, and a few more
families move here too.
Why not? The Lennon
area is a wonderful place
to put down roots and

a great success every

The Council, DDA and

During the year we had the
good fortune to sell our older
backup cruiser that was
equipped with less efficient

and purchase a used, but new-

installed. Thus getting a safer
vehicle for the department

over over $1000.00 in the
process. This was made possi-

Raffle will be in the late Fall, and the Christmas Tree Sales usually start the day after Thanksgiving. These 3 Fund-raisers make it possible for us to help many different people throughout the year. The Lennon Lions Club along with many different groups were able to help 70 families with food baskets at Christ-mas. We collected around 6,000 cans and boxes of food. We handed out turkeys, chick-ens, apples, potatoes and many other items. Due to the food baskets, many families were able to have a nicer Christmas. We thank all that helped with this project. The Lions would also like to thank those businesses that sold tickets for our Fall Raffle &
On behalf of the Lennon Li-ons Club, I would like to thank all the people and businesses who supported our Club, during the entire 2014 year. The Lennon Li-ons have been in existence for over 40 years and during that time we have collected and spent close to $500,000.00. Most of it was spent in the Lennon area. If it was not for the support of the local community, people and businesses, we would not be able to help all the people and causes that we support. We have 3 major fundraisers during the year, the Lennon Lions Homecoming will be on Saturday, July 18th, 2015. The Fall Sportsmen

Shop for many years.
Why do Routers need to be reset so often? Many customers ask us routinely why
they need to reset their routers so of-
ten. Even people with different Inter-
net providers have been asking us this
same question.
Here are some answers according to
asklifehacker.com or whitson-
gordon.kinja.com:
This is a common ailment with no one
universal cause. It could be that your
Internet provider changes your IP
address often, and your router doesn’t
catch on. Maybe it’s overheating, or
maybe it’s getting bogged down by
too many connections at once. This
can happen if you download a lot.
There are a few solutions that can help
you fix the problem and help prevent
it in the future.
First, verify that your router is the
source of the problem. This is also
what we recommend here at LTC/
TVC. Plug your computer or device
directly into your modem and see if
you get any dropped connections. If
not, the problem is more likely related
to your router. If you have a modem/
router combo, you won’t be able to
perform this step, you will have to call
tech support. If you are a LTC/TVC
customer, that number is 1-866-426-
6967. They are available 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week, and they all speak
English. :) If you have a different pro-
vider, you will have to call them. If
your router is the problem, you will
have to contact your router manufac-
turer to get support. Another thing to
check for is the heat coming from
your router. Get your router out of
hot, enclosed spaces, raise it up on
wood blocks or stick it in front of a
fan. A lot of times, a router that keeps
dying can be fixed with just a bit of
extra airflow. If your Internet works
when you are directly plugged into
your modem, another thing to try is to
update your router’s firmware. Head
to your router’s config page (usually available by
typing http://192.168.0.1 into your browser, but
you’ll have to check your manual.) Check the firm-
ware version and write it down. Next, go to your
router’s manufacturer’s web site
(e.g.www.linksys.com) and head to their support
page. Find your router and go to its download page.
If the latest firmware doesn’t match, you should
download the latest firmware and update your rout-
er. If you still can’t fix the problem with your rout-
er, you may have to buy a new one. LTC/TVC has
modem/router combos for sale, but if you need just
a router, you may want to check out the prices at
Best Buy, Meijer, Walmart, etc.
We hope you find these tips helpful, remember that
we are always here to help you both with our 24-
hour tech support, and our technicians that are al-
ways on-call if you have an outage. Hopefully you
will have success and be able to do the happy
dance.
