FUN FACTS Pandas only digest a fifth of their food. Their teeth are curved. The Chinese name for pandas is daxiongmao that means large bear-cat.

Pandas need two species of bamboo where they live or they will starve.

They spend 12 hours a day eating, and 99% of their diet is bamboo.
