Multiple Intelligences (cont.)
Visual/Spatial Think best through visual perceptions and mental
representations. Create mental pictures and 3D concepts to help them
understand. Keenly aware of shapes, maps, charts, tables, graphs
and puzzles.Bodily/Kinesthetic
Use movement as a way of understanding. Associate thought with motion and need to move to
know, often moving objects around to understand concepts.
Prefer a hands-on approach, participating rather than watching.
Multiple Intelligences (cont.)
Interpersonal Use their awareness of other people as a basis for action. Get along well with others and are sensitive to what they
think/feel. Openly exchange thoughts with others and participate in group
activities.
Intrapersonal Use an awareness of their own thoughts and feelings to guide
their behavior. Don’t need others to affirm their ideas or encourage them. Intuitive, self-motivated, and content to be by themselves.
Naturalist Recognize patterns in the world, especially the way plants grow
and animals behave. Understand details of the environment and are in tune with the
natural cycles of nature.
