Service Transition and Transformation

This approach is used by the market to manage different situations and

could be split in 2 major phases

• The first phase is related to the transition of legacy solutions & services

from customer to a external provider.

• This could include the transfer to the provider of the system’s hosting

• When the transition is limited to HR and payroll services the concept

of “service wrapper” is commonly used.

• The second phase is related to the transformation of the customer

solutions and processes and could include :

• Replacement of the legacy system by a new solution supported by the

provider and deployment of standard processes (best business

practices)

• Solution improvement by implementation of new configurations and

Tools on the legacy solution and/or enhancement of customer legacy
