Contents What's new? ................................................................. 1 The New ADePT Education Module .......................... 2 Upcoming issue ............................................................ 4 The Education Statistics Database Newsletter Education Atlas Updated: Over 100 New Maps Available The Education Atlas has been updated with over 100 new world maps and roughly 50 new indicators. The new maps give a global overview of gender parity in education, public expenditures on education, enrollments, and educational system efficiency. For each indicator, two maps are available: one from 2000 and another for the most recent data year available—typically 2006. WB Project Database Updated with FY2008 projects The World Bank Education Projects Database has been updated with 22 education projects that were approved by the Education Sector Board in FY2008. The database allows users to generate a list of education projects, components, and features carried out in a specific country. Users can also search by project feature to produce a list of project components that include the selected feature. In the most recent update, EdStats added three new features to the database: e-learning materials, ICT equipment and/or computer labs, and teacher certification. Newsletter
