strategic customers, SAP Financial Consolidation hasbeen improved so that visually impaired users can takefull advantage of screen reader capabilities when usingthe product

Improved search capabilities on consolidationsEasier search for consolidations• SAP Financial Consolidation search capabilities have

been improved in order to streamline the process offinding existing or past consolidations. Searchinghistorical consolidations is significantly easier and pastconsolidations can now be found much faster thanbefore.

• On desktop

When using the desktop user interface, a more flexiblecontext menu has been made available in the combobox, displaying each reporting ID, category and dataentry period in two separate columns

• On the web

When using the Web user interface, stronger searchand filtering capabilities have been developed



Consolidation “snapshot” featureEnabling filter freeze• The new consolidation “snapshot” feature in SAP

Financial Consolidation enables to freeze filters ofdimension members in order to better deal withconsolidation activities such as pro forma statements,changes in accounting standards and/or audit ofconsolidated data over time

• When a filter has been frozen, SAP FinancialConsolidation changes the dynamic selection of the filter(for example based on account behavior/characteristics)into a fixed list of elementary values

• When freezing the filter, the end-user is able to create acopy of the dynamic filter at the same time as the freeze



Lock/unlock capability on multiple consolidationsLock/unlock through multi-selection• Previously SAP Financial Consolidation was only able to

lock or unlock consolidations on a one by one basisthrough a 1 by 1 selection mode

• In order to avoid business end-user repetitive tasks theproduct now also enables the consolidation lockingand/or unlocking through multi-selection

• This new SAP Financial Consolidation feature is intendedto streamline the customer process of managing severalstatutory consolidations, management reportingconsolidations as well as simulations



Preventing security breachIncreased security and integrity during thereporting unit package process• A new SAP Financial Consolidation feature has been

developed in order to prevent security breach in theprocess of generating reporting unit “packages”

• Bypassing or contravening enterprise security policyfor locked reporting units is now impossible

• When a package is protected or fully locked,regeneration of its opening package is notauthorized



New hierarchy selection methodsEnriched selection capacity based onhierarchy• In order to complement the selections based on

hierarchies, two additional hierarchy link methodshave been added to the hierarchy selection dialogbox in the SAP Financial Consolidation reportdesigner

• The first is “children and grandchildren from startingpoint”

• The second is “starting point and children andgrandchildren



Master data import/export to/from non SAP sourcesEasier integration with non-SAP systems• In order to streamline SAP Financial Consolidation

integration to non-SAP systems, the master dataimport and export web services are now officiallypublished and supported, enabling integration withsystems other than SAP

• In the scope, the “proportionate to full consolidation” /“full consolidation to proportionate” mode enables theselection of reporting units that are switching modes

• Consolidation rules can then trigger only reporting unitswhere consolidation method is changing fromproportionate to full or vice-versa



Discontinued operationsDeal with discontinued operations• In order to deal with discontinued operations according

to international financial standards (IFRS) SAP FinancialConsolidation is now able to identify in a consolidationscope the reporting units planned to be divested

• The target to be able to specifically select the planneddivested reporting units applicable for a givenconsolidation rule

• A new reference table called “scope custom properties”is now available to trigger the planned divestedreporting units in consolidation rules
