• Topics cover use of big data for macroeconomic nowcasting, various issues of sample survey, small area estimation, data science for public good, data management in the era of the new economy and big data, country case studies on harnessing big data, the role of big data in improving consistency of economic statistics;

• Insights on the potentials of big data to address data gap, cost reduction and complement reliability/consistency of the official statistics.

• Three sessions with 14 papers;

• Sessions include country case studies on enablers and challenges of administrative censuses, administrative and reporting systems for agriculture-related SDGs monitoring, use of administrative sources for population and migration statistics;

• Insights on methodologies as well as issues and challenges of using administrative data for producing official statistics.
