Healthcare organisations have vast amounts of data both online and offline. These may be

structured formats, such as spreadsheets, or unstructured formats, such as image scans.

At a time where the data required is increasing in both size and variety, the ability to

quickly and easily access insightful information is key to a healthcare organisation’s ability

Enterprise search is the method used by an organisation to help people seek the

information they need, in any format, from anywhere inside their Trust whether the

information is located in databases, document management systems or even

unstructured data sources. Enterprise search is about locating the right information at the

right time.

With traditional solutions, the cumulative hours lost in searching for key information only

serves to reduce productivity across organisations, resulting in a waste of valuable time

and resources. Subsequently, information may be missed, giving rise to possible incorrect

outcomes and inaccurate decisions. This wasted time impacts the patient, clinician and
