WESTVIEW’S BUZZ I can’t believe we are into the fall and cooler weather. I love this time of year! Several im- portant events are coming up and we need your help to make them successful. I am so proud of the hard work our students put in for the Boston Run. It really paid off! Thank you to all the families and students who were willing to partipate in the RHS Homecom- ing parade. We will be looking for more chances to participate! Students in grades 3-6 will finish taking the Acuity assessment on the Computer by Mon- day. This assessment is a great predictor of ISTEP performance. This assessment will help to ensure your child will be given appropriate interventions based on their individual results. The week of October 10th will be Parent Teach- er Conference week. We will dismiss at 1:40 everyday. Teachers will be contacting you to set times. Please be flexible as we move through a change in the way we have conferences this year. Our PTO is off to an amazing start. It is im- portant you become involved in this active or- ganization. Thank you to all the families and students who

were willing to partipate in the RHS Homecom-

ing parade. We will be looking for more chances

er Conference week. We will dismiss at 1:40

everyday. Teachers will be contacting you to set

times. Please be flexible as we move through a

change in the way we have conferences this year.

Our PTO is off to an amazing start. It is im-

portant you become involved in this active or-

ganization. Remember to collect those box tops

Get Ready to Learn!

Respect Me, Respect You!

Everyday My Best!

Excellent Choices!

Notice Good Deeds!

Have you ever asked yourself, “What am I going to do with

all of these school clothes that my child has outgrown?”

Well, why don’t you donate them to the clothing cabinet at

Westview?

Have you ever asked yourself, “What am I going to do with

all of this extra time I have each day?” I know, I know.

Probably not, but have ever wanted to help in some way

but didn’t know how? Volunteer at Westview. You can

volunteer in a classroom, a PTO event, a Literacy event, or

even from home doing a project for a teacher.

You can also help out at Westview by donating items for

students, teacher classrooms or events. Some of those items

might be: school supplies, refreshments, play-doh, craft

supplies, etc.

If you are interested in helping out, Contact:

WESTVIEW NEEDS Rewards programs

Westview PTO participates in many rewards programs to

support student activities and events. Below you will see those

programs listed with any special instructions. If you have any

questions please contact a PTO officer.

Be sure to have your March card scanned before your groceries

for Westview points. Over the last couple of years Westview

has been able to “purchase” a lot of playground games, 2 digital

cameras and several other items thru the Marsh Fresh Ideas for

Education Program.

We are always collecting Box Tops!

It is helpful when you send them in

with clean cut edges.

We just need the

UPC section of

Campbell’s labels

now and not the

full label.

Don’t forget those

printer ink cartridges!

Collet the Tyson Project A+ Labels and turn them in for

Westview to collet $0.24 each!!

Don’t forget to have that Meijer

rewards card scanned!
