Sustainability Guidelines: Intent
The intent of sustainability guidelines:
• establish a framework that will assist individual building projects in reducing their environmental impact
•contributing to the overall development’s sustainability goals.

Sustainability Guidelines: Implementation
Stormwater Management
Purpose: This guideline limits disruption and pollution of natural water flows by managing stormwater run-off.
Guideline: Encourage integrated stormwater management planning:
•treat stormwater runoff on-site through the use of bio-swales and landscape plantings
•encourage the use of green roofs, permeable pavers and other strategies to reduce impermeable surface area
•consider the potential to store and re-use rainwater on site for landscape irrigation.
