This awesome 6 week program encourages attending library events and reading through the summer by rewarding participants for coming. For kids, studies clearly indicate that the “summer slide” is detrimental to learning, and libraries are a great way to keep kids engaged in learning all summer long. This summer is a big one for our campaign too. Right now the WPL Growing Again Foundation has received over $725,000 in gifts and pledges, and will be requesting that the Board of Selectmen put a bond initiative for 4.1 million dollars on the November ballot. If you love the library, please contact the selectmen to show your support for a bigger and even better facility. Our website this summer will also undergo some big changes.
