CONVOCATIONNew Student Convocation is Oklahoma State University’s official welcome for all new students and marks the start of their academic journey. This formal celebration of scholarship and tradition inducts new students into the community of learners at Oklahoma State. Convocation celebrates your entry into higher education and articulates the institution’s mission, values, expectations, and purpose. This memorable experience will introduce our newest students to the special privileges and responsibilities they now bear as scholars and leaders.

All students must attend the college spotlight and reception hosted by the Dean of their academic college at 2:30 pm. All students will accompany the faculty from the reception to Convocation and be seated by college.

New Student Convocation will be held Friday, August 20, 2010, at 5 pm in Gallagher-Iba Arena. Attire is business casual.
