Recess & Buddy Programme
• Buddy System - Primary 3 pupils will buddy Primary 1 pupils and teach them how to queue and buy food and look after them during recess time.
• Parents are invited to observe their child during recess on Tues, 3 Jan.
• Give space for the pupils to have their food.

• Healthy Meals in School Programme (HMSP)
• Set Meal
• Prices: $1.20 (small)

• Please encourage your child to finish his/her food in the set meal for a balanced diet
Dismissal (School Bus)
First 2 weeks
• Teachers will accompany pupils taking school buses to the MPC.
• Bus attendance will assist pupils to board the school bus.
Parent Involvement
• Be involved in your child’s education and development.
• Know your child’s school schedule and upcoming events.
• Set aside time to check child’s homework and student handbook for notes from teachers daily.
• Be in communication with your child’s teachers.
Parent-School Partnership 1. Work with your child’s teachers first as they know
your child best.

– To meet up with your child’s teacher, make an appointment first before coming to school.

Punctuality and Attendance
Ensure school attendance is not compromised.
• Absences may be covered by medical certificates from doctors or letters from parents (in certain cases)
• Absences without valid reasons may affect child’s conduct grade and eligibility for awards
• During exams/tests, absences MUST be covered by medical certification from doctors
PUNCTUALITY: Let’s aim to be on time, all the time!
Pupil’s Well-being
• If your child is suddenly not well in school, his/her Form Teacher or the General Office will call you.
• No child will be allowed to go home on their own.
1st Day of School
• We would like to invite you to attend the P1 Parents Engagement Session on the 1st day of school.
• Parents are welcomed to accompany your child to their classroom on Day 1 to meet their form teachers.

Financial Assistance
• Forms for MOE Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) can be obtained from the MOE website or from the General Office from today onwards.
• MOE FAS provisions includes: waiver of standard miscellaneous fees, free textbooks & school attire, transport subsidy.
• Income criteria (Gross Household Income not exceeding $2500/mth or Per Capita Income not exceeding $625/mth)
Financial Assistance
• Students from low-income households can apply for IDA’s NEU PC Plus Programme to own a new computer at a subsidised price. To apply, approach the school general office for an application form.
