    IV. Research Methodology

    a. Preparation and extraction of garlic

Select two healthy garlic bulbs. Chop these garlic andgrind it. Then leave it for 24 hours. After 24 hours, add water and a fewdrops of soap to the ground garlic and stir thoroughly. Then, dilute onepart of the emulsion with nine parts of water and shake well.

    d. Interpretations of results

In the posttest of the experimental setup, all mosquitoes died,as compared to the control setup. This is due to the treatment

applied which is the garlic extract.

  • 8/6/2019 Welcome to the Presentation of Group Revised)

    11/13

    Conclusion:

Garlic extract is a good substance in killing mosquitoes.

When garlic extract was applied in the experimental setup, all themosquitoes died.

    12/13

    Recommendations:

It was observed that garlic extract killed

the Anopheles mosquitoes and that it is an

    effective insect repellant. Since mosquitoes

are the variables being subjected to the

garlic extract, a different type of organism

(insect) should also be tested to prove that

garlic extract is an effective insect repellant.
