Chapter 8: Tissue management and prosthetic consideration with immediate implantation in anterior maxilla.
This book organizes the totality of what a practitioner should understand and master, to achieve an elegant
level of the clinical practice of implant dentistry.
This textbook is valuable for all members of the treatment team. It will give the reader organization and dir-
ection, medical and dental evaluation principles, bioengineering concepts, surgical principles, alternative
treatment planning, and pharmacological considerations, from single teeth to full arch rehabilitations. It is
a book to be read and reread by the serious student and practitioner of implant dentistry.
Dr. Schwartz-Arad received her DMD and PhD degrees from the Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University,
Jerusalem, Israel. She is a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery and was the Senior Lecturer in the
Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Maurice and Gabriela Goldschleger School of Dental
Medicine, Tel Aviv University, until 2008.
Dr. Schwartz-Arad’s research focuses on immediate dental implantation,
bone augmentation procedures for dental implants, the infl uence of smoking
on the success of dental implants, and the impact of anxiety on the recovery
process of patients. Dr. Schwartz-Arad is a member of the Specialty
Examination Board for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, nominated by the
Israel Dental Association Scientifi c Council, Israel. She is the author and
coauthor of invited reviews and has published numerous scientifi c articles
and abstracts. She has presented more than 100 papers at scientifi c
meetings and international academic conferences in Israel, Europe, and
the United States. She has also been awarded several academic and
professional awards, including by the Israeli Academy of Sciences and the
Israel Cancer Association. Dr. Schwartz-Arad is the owner and Senior Surgeon of the Schwartz-Arad Day-Care
Surgical Center, Ramat-Hasharon, Israel, which specializes in maxillofacial surgery, advanced implantology,
periodontology, and endodontology. [email protected]

5 Years of Clinical ExperienceUp to 5 years outcome of PALTOP Dental ImplantsPost-Marketing clinical follow upGil Asafrana, DMD, Tel Aviv, Israel | Henriette Lerner, DMD, Baden Baden Germany | Michael Klein DMD, Medical director USA | Tal Hammer-Topaz, MSc, MBA, Paltop Regulation & Clinical Mng. Shlomo Hillel, CDT, CTO | 2016.
Conclusion:The results of this study show 97.2% survival rate in 316 implants followed up to 5 years. PALTOP implants show excellent results for up to 5 years of follow-up, comparable with proposed standards in the literature.
