Exiting from the Sanctuary, turn left; exiting the Worship Center, turn right. Need information? Try the Information Center in the Lobby between worship services. Its a great place to get information or find out about current activities. In the back of the chairs you will find Prayer cards for your prayer requests and Communication cards (one per family) to register your worship attendance and note any contact information changes, including new e-mail addresses. Prayer cards will be collected by the ushers during the first song. Communication cards may be placed in the offering plate as it is passed. A friendly reminder to all, please silence all devices. Prayer support is available at the front after each service. This week we celebrate the baptism of Jacob Kai Price, son of Bill & Darlene Price. He was baptized on Friday, November 23. News & Notes Advent: Christ is Coming! In this busy holiday season, we sometimes

get caught up in our to-do lists and forget the reason we celebrate. Join the Music Ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church in preparing for Christmas by attending ADVENT: CHRIST IS COMING—A Celebration of Music and Light, Saturday, December 1 and Sunday, December 2. The performances will begin at 6:00 p.m. The celebration will feature music by the St. John’s Celebration Choir and orchestra as we journey to the manger again through song. A freewill offering will be collected to support missions in Bakersfield and throughout the world.

tions. This person is an ambassador for our ministry to communicate the beliefs, general information and activities of St. John’s through graphic design using various print and electronic media; must also possess strong grammar skills. HIS Ministry Operation Christmas Child Thank you to everyone who participated in the Operation Christmas Child Shoe Box project. We collected 215 boxes. Angel Tree Names are available today after each service. Be sure to sign out the angel you select. All gifts are due back to the

Tanzania Student Sponsorship News! Many school families have responded to the call for sponsors for the students at

our school in Tanzania. We are now sponsoring 267 children for the 2019 school year. Their school year starts in January and are adding a Class Six. Christmas Poinsettias! Don’t miss the opportunity to purchase a red poinsettia and help us beautify our worship during this season. Pick-

up an order form envelope at the Information Centers. If you would like a dedication listed (e.g., in memory of or in honor of someone), please indicate your dedication on the envelope provided and drop it in the basket. The last day to order poinsettias is Sunday, December 16.

A Master Chorale Christmas! The Bakersfield Master Chorale will perform Christmas
