What is Your Kudos “KQ”?

First Steps... Setting up Kudos!1. SET YOUR PASSWORD

An email invitation to join Kudos will be sent to your NeoGenomics email account. In this email, you will receive a link to set your password. The link will direct you to a page where you can type in a password of your choice, sign in, and start using Kudos.

2. SET UP YOUR PERSONAL PROFILEIn the top right-hand corner of the Kudos homepage, you will see a blue person icon. Click on this icon and go to ‘My Settings’. Under My Settings > Profile, feel free to share whatever information you would like. You have the option of making any item private between you and your supervisor or sharing with all of your peers.

3. ADD A PROFILE PICTUREUnder My Settings > Picture, select a photo from your computer up to 5 MB in size, and in .jpg, .png, or .gif file type. Wait a few seconds for the system to up-load it, and your picture will change and save when it’s ready.

Who Can Give Kudos and Assign Points?Kudos may be given from a supervisor to any employee and from employee to employee (peer-to-peer).

Only supervisors, managers, and senior level staff have the ability to assign Kudos points and Badges. However, if you see someone that has gone above and beyond and you want to give a Kudos “Thank You”, you may certainly pass along the kudos points you have earned to another well deserving team member. Supervisors also have the option to add points to a peer-to-peer Kudos.

Kudos points can be earned at any time and do not expire.

In addition to receiving recognition and rewards, you can use this program to create your Kudos “KQ”. Your Kudos “KQ” is a representation of your top Kudos Qualities and shows everyone in the company your key characteristics based on your Kudos interactions with your peers. An example is to the left.

Every time you send a Kudos message or receive a Kudos message, your “KQ” will reflect your Kudos qualities. It’s a fun way to see how others perceive and appreciate you and is also a helpful tool to use in preparation for your NeoConnections dialogues.

Next Steps... Giving Kudos!• GIVE KUDOS BAR

Click on the ‘Give kudos’ icon in the upper right of your page to display the ‘Give Kudos’ bar with its levels and options.

• LEVEL OF KUDOSBegin by selecting the level of Kudos you would like to give. Kudos levels allow you to send the appropriate amount of recognition. You may send private constructive kudos to help mentor a teammate (by toggling the lock/unlock icon), and can send general messages to share ideas.

• RECIPIENT(S)Next, type your colleague's name and the “To” field will auto-populate. Select the correct name by clicking on it. You can add multiple people to this field, as well as group, department, or location names to recognize an entire team. If you're sending a 'General Message', you can leave this field blank so that the message becomes a general wall post for all to see.

• VALUESSelect the value(s) that support the reason why you’re giving Kudos by highlighting the characteris-tics or skills the individual(s) demonstrated in their action or behavior.

• PRIVACY SETTINGYou can keep your message visible to ‘Organization’ so it appears on the 'Wall', or make it ‘Private’ so that it only resides on the and recipients’ page and your own personal page.

• MESSAGEYour message can be simple, but should be descriptive of the reason you are giving the Kudos and include why the effort was so impactful to you. The character count is aimed at helping keep messages succinct, but you can type up to 1000 characters.

• ATTACHMENTSYou can attach up to 3 files of any type to your message, such as a picture or a document.

• SEND!If you kept this message visible to the organization, everyone will be able to view and comment on it in the Kudos ‘Wall’.

• NOTIFICATIONSIf you receive a Kudos message, you will be notified via email by Kudos. Likewise, if you comment on a message received by a peer, your peer will receive an email notification, along with the user who originally sent that Kudos. You’re guaranteed to never miss out on any Kudos action!
