Many colleges look for students who have earned a strong G. P. A., have above average SAT scores, and who have taken academic classes for electives, in order to be accepted. Involvement in activities, athletics, clubs, leadership, and community service may also influence admissions.
CADR’s College Academic Distribution Requirements
Planning your high school classes is very important so that you graduate with the skills you need for college, for job training, and/or for your career.
Your high school transcript is part of your permanent record which can get you accepted into college or vocation training, can earn you a scholarship . . . Or keep you from getting into the college or training of your choice or earning a scholarship. Some employers look at transcripts in the hiring process as well.
It is not easy to make schedule changes at Camas High School. So make sure you spend time planning your high school years and that you choose the most appropriate classes for your freshman year.
