o Reliability knowledge and resource base to support the development of electronic systems for space and military state-of-the art equipment and complex systems, and also for commercial industry by providing necessary laboratory infrastructure

o Planning of implementation of accelerated life testing employing temperature, pressure, vibration and power cycling stresses to find and improve weakness and estimate product life and decrease the time from design to market.

o Test capability infrastructure:Steady state temperature, thermal cyle, thermal shock, temperature-humudity-bias, vibration, HALT(Highly Accelerated life test)

TÜBİTAK UZAY carries out its research and development activities in the following areas:

• Space Technologies– Satellite systems, satellite sub-systems, satellite ground station sub-systems,

satellite test and integration systems.

• Electronics– Communication systems, electronics system design, electro-optic mission

payload, high-speed digital design, IC design.

• Software– Computer vision, speech processing, pattern recognition, remote sensing,

multimedia technologies, data mining, machine learning, natural language processing, artificial intelligence.

• Power Electronics– Power quality, compensation systems, electrical motor drives, switching

power supplies, renewable energy resources.

• Power Distribution Systems– Analysis of electric production and transmission systems, strategic research

and development in distribution automation, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, criteria setting for planning, design and operation of distribution systems

Research Areas

• BiLSAT Project– Fulfilled with a budget around 13.4 million USD to establish all necessary

infrastructure about LEO Micro satellites in cooperation with SSTL of Surrey University, UK.

– A satellite so-called BiLSAT was designed and launched to LEO

• RASAT Project– Second LEO EO Satellite– Designed and manufactured by

TÜBİTAK UZAY

• GÖKTÜRK 2 Project• Small Research and Development
