Homework is expected to be turned in on time. If homework is not turned in a check will be given
on the Super Eagle Weekly Report.
Thursday Folders
Thursday Folders go home every Thursday with Super Eagle Weekly Reports, notes and returned work. Papers with grades below 70 will need to be signed and returned to school in the Thursday Folder on Friday. If the paper says “Correct and Return” on the top, then corrections and grade improvement will be allowed.

TAKS 5th graders take the state assessment,
TAKS, in the subjects of Reading, Math, and Science.
Passing TAKS in Reading and Math is required to be promoted to 6th grade.
April 4th – Math April 5th – Reading April 28th - Science
ELA Each Language Arts Block contains three
components: Reader’s Workshop, Writer’s Workshop, and Word Study.
Reader’s Workshop will include reading groups, shared reading and independent reading.
Writer’s Workshop will include mini-lessons on the seven traits of writing, time to explore different types of writing, and writer’s conferences with teacher and peers.
Word Study – includes spelling, vocabulary and grammar.
