WELCOME AND ORIENTATION FOR FRESHERS

Orientation and welcome for the freshers was organized bt C.G. Bhakta Institute of Biotechnology

(CGBIBT) on 24th August 2018 at Pushpam Tarsadia Hall. The programme began at 10 am with UTU

anthem and lamp lighting. Dr. Krishnamurthy, Director, CGBIBT welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Dinesh

Shah, honorable Provost, Uka tarsadia University (UTU) and Guests of Honour shri Bhagudada,

President, BPKM, Dr. N.C. Shah, Advisor, UTU and Dr. Rajkumar Patil, Director, CGPIT and the students.

The dignitaries were given hearty floral welcome.

Dr. Krishnamurthy, while addressing the freshers, spoke about the 13 year journey of CGBIBT and

justified the decision of the freshers for getting admitted into CGBIBT. Dr. Dinesh Shah, in his address,

lauded the contribution of CGBIBT in the growth of UTU and pledged his all-round support to CGBIBT.

Shri Bhagudada expressed his concern for farmers’ upliftment and urged to contribute in this direction.

After the inaugural function, the senior students welcomed and introduced the new students and gave

some tasks to exhibit their hidden talents. Cultural activities followed in which both freshers and senior

students participated whole heartedly. At the end Mr and Ms Biotech. And Micro were selected and

crowned.
