Chive (Allium Schoenoprasum)
The Chive is an ancient herb. Historically
Romans believed it increased blood pressure
and Romani gypsies used this herb for fortune
telling. In past times bunches of chives were
hung around the home to ward off evil/
disease.
Chives have a purple blossom, they need full
sunlight along with moist soil and planted in an
earthly space or in a container. The delicate
flavour of chives is a blend of garlic/onion.
Chives have been noted to contain vitamins
and minerals (potassium is good for a healthy
heart, vitamin K strengthens bones and its
antioxidants for eye vision).
Chive blossom vinegar (lovely condiment for
salads)
Steep all purple blossoms in to white vinegar.
Leave in a dark dry area for three weeks. The
blossoms will go white and the vinegar will
become pink, remove
blossoms. You will be left
with an infused vinegar
with a delicate flavour to
add to salads etc. The
blossom is edible.
Please Note: Pregnant women and persons on medication
should seek medical advice before using this herb.

Pendulum Dowsing
The term for using a pendulum is also known as divining or ‘water witching’.
Pendulums have been used for centuries, they are used to find solutions to prob-
lems covering a very wide scale anything from life changing decisions to simply
predicting the weather! The ancient form of divination, has been used as far back as
7000 years with Egyptian and Chinese kings. Pendulums can be used to find our
spiritual path along with prayer and blessings, they can also be used in healing and
diagnosis along with finding missing persons, animals and objects. Psychic energy is
beneficial in the accuracy of pendulum dowsing, therefore does not constitute for
mediumship or a clairvoyant reading. The end of the pendulum is called a bob.
How to use
Hold the string/chain attached to the pendulum
between your thumb and forefinger then rest your
elbow on a surface with the pendulum 6 inches
from your face.
Repeat the words `yes ‘ - whatever way the
pendulum swings is your yes .
To be certain repeat the words `No’ - your
pendulum should swing in the opposite direction.
Have fun asking your pendulum questions!
