Abstract
Weight Analytics Deployment for Helicopter Engineering
The management of product’s weight and Center of gravity is essential to all kind of aircraft. Weight is equal to performance &
efficiency. Weight Analytics Solution provides a robust database system capable of collecting data from different sources and
performing enhanced business analytics operations. ALTAIR developed helicopter-specific features to the software which go beyond
the generic scope of a weight management database:
• Fuel consumption management and visualization
• Mission simulation
• Helicopter configurator
• Weight & CoG tracking during development projects
• Weight & CoG trend forecasting Legacy data out of up to 50year old systems have been migrated into Weight Analytics solution.

The comparison of mass data on product structures, for example at different times, is one of the most important requirements for any type
of analysis. WA provides a very powerful tool to investigate on these differencies using the «Delta Drill» graph, where differencies are
shown along the levels of the BoM structure as a contribution (plus or minus) to the difference.
