MARKET WRAP
CHANA The arrivals are still prevailing across the spot markets restricting any steep
gain in the spot prices as well as the futures.
Good physical buying is expected to help the prices to recover. Chana prices
are expected to rise gradually in the near term.
TURMERIC
Higher arrivals, higher stocks and low export demand continued to pressurize
prices.
Good rains in the growing areas of AP and Karnataka raised possibilities of a
better crop and likely to support rates.
JEERA
Subdued export demand of Jeera weigh on prices. However, arrivals at spot
market of Unjha are declining continuously and further fall in arrivals might
support the prices to bounce back.
Jeera May futures are projected to trade slightly positive on short covering on
previous fall. Decline in arrivals at spot market may support the prices.
PEPPER
Pepper May futures are expected to trade on positive taking cues from
prevailing tight supply situation at spot market. However, prices might witness
small correction on higher levels but overall bullish trend is likely to remain
intact.
Pepper prices will depend on demand from the overseas and domestic
buyers. Prices will also take cues from stocks of pepper with the major
producers, pepper prices in the international market of various origins.
