• The Macy’s 2015 Thanksgiving promo is almost visually identical to the retailer’s promo from the same week last year.
• This year, Macy’s is offering an extra 20%, 15% or 10% off home and other selected departments, and 20%–50% off selected clothing styles. Last year, the retailer offered an extra 15% or 10% off selected departments.
• Target’s Pre-Black Friday ad for this week focuses on the same products as its 2014 Black Friday promo did.
• It seems that Beats headphones and LED televisions are still best sellers for a second year in a row. • Last year’s ad featured kitchen appliances, while this year’s highlights electronic gadgets.
• Walmart is offering an online preview of its Black Friday weekly ad ahead of time, as it did last year. • This year, however, the retailer released the ad early through its app. • Walmart is allowing customers to enjoy Black Friday deals online during Thanksgiving Day, just as
it did last year.

• Target’s Black Friday sale also starts on Thanksgiving Day, when store doors will open at 6 pm (last year, the retailer’s Black Friday discounts started at 1 am on Friday).
• This year’s promos are similar to last year’s in terms of both visuals and content, as Target is promoting mostly the same items, but in newer versions.
• This year, the promo’s focus is mainly on electronic gadgets such as HD video drones, Beats headphones, Apple products, GoPro cameras and Fitbits.
• Target says it is offering its lowest prices ever on all televisions.
BLACK FRIDAY PREVIEW
• JCPenney has released its Black Friday promo, featuring discounts that will be valid online all day both November 26 and 27.
• This year, store doors will open at 3 pm on Thanksgiving Thursday compared to 5 pm last year.
• Early shoppers will receive instant-savings coupons with purchase and be eligible to win one of 10 $10,000 cash grand prizes.
• The retailer is offering major discounts that are similar to last year’s sales on apparel, kitchen appliances, bedding and holiday decor.

• This year, Marks & Spencer is running a Black Friday event for the second time.

• Tesco will launch its four-day Black Friday sale on Friday, November 27, at midnight online and in stores at 5 am. The retailer had not yet announced its deals at the time of writing, a few days before Black Friday.
• In the week leading up to the event, Tesco ran a Toys Flash Sale through Wednesday, November 25. Participating brands included Disney Frozen, Playmobil, Fisher-Price and Hello Kitty, with offers up to 50% off.
• Additionally, the retailer is running a Clubcard Boost event, which allows customers to double the value of their Clubcard loyalty points when shopping in selected Tesco departments.
