• Number 4
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• For the first one, x ≥ 1, you would add all of the probabilities from 1 through 10 for 2/5 or calculate 1 – P(0)
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• For the second one, x > 1, you would add all of the probabilities from 2 through 10 for 2/5 or calculate 1 – (P(0)+P(1))
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• For the third one, 4<x ≤ 7, you would add all of the probabilities from 5 through 7
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• For the last one, x < 4 OR x ≥ 7, you would add all of the probabilities from 0 through 3 AND all probabilities from 7 through 10 (OR YOU COULD SAY 1 – THOSE NOT INCLUDED)
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• Number 5
Mean = 10 (2/5) = 4 Std Dev = Sq Root (10)(2/5)(3/5) = 1.549
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• Number 6
Mean = 10 (1/5) = 2 Std Dev = Sq Root (10)(1/5)(4/5) = 1.265
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• Number 7
Mean = 10 (4/5) = 8 Std Dev = Sq Root (10)(4/5)(1/5) = 1.265
Week 4 Lab Lecture
• Number 8
USE DEFINITION OF BINOMIAL DISTRIBUTION…..
Week 4 Lab Lecture
