The Wee Grid interviewed boy band The Wanted and asked them some questions which were sent in by our cardholders. Here are just a few of them.

Log onto the Wee Grid site @ www.gridmag.co.uk to hear the boys answer these questions and many more!

What is the weirdest present a fan has given any of you? (Hannah O’Reilly):

Max: Someone once bought Tom a scarecrow, don’t know exactly why but I suppose that’s why it’s weird but they said it was of sentimental value.

Did you like Glasgow, and did you manage to visit any landmarks? (Gemma Russell)

We love Glasgow but unfortunately we haven’t had that much time there apart from when we did the gig and the signing. Our schedule is so mad, but we absolutely love Glasgow and can’t wait to do our tour date’s there.

Max, if you went away on holiday, who in the band would you trust to look after Elvis? (Rebecca Williams)

Max: Ooh, who would I say probably? Probably, ooh that’s really difficult, maybe Jay!

Out of all your songs what’s your favourite? (Dionne Gamble)

Max: On the album I’d say Golden is my favourite.

Your first ever tour is this year in April. Will you be playing songs just off of your album? Or will there be some sneaky surprises on the tour? (Amy)

Yeah, we will cover the album and then there will be a couple of little surprises in there as well!

If you could have a superpower what would it be? (Gemma Porter)

Max: Probably to be invisible for the day because you could get up to all sorts and no-one will see you!

I know you guys love to tell jokes, but who tells the worst jokes? (Ell Sharp)

Max: Well, I definitely tell the best ones and then I’d say Jay probably tells the worst ones as he tries to outdo me but they are never as good!

Can you tell us a random fact about yourself that your fans might not know? (Daniella)

Max: I once sat on a wasps nest and got stung 57 times. It really hurt and that was only about a year ago.

What was your favourite sport at school?

Max: Probably football – I wanted to be a professional football player!

Look out for more exclusive celebrity interviews in the summer edition of The Wee Grid.

tWentY tWentYThe band is made up of Sam, Jack and Sonny and we predict big things from them in 2011. They have recently finished supporting The Saturdays on their tour and have played alongside JLS. I WISH I CouLD SWIM!

It seems there’s loads of choice these days when it comes to getting fit. Cheerleading, street dance, tennis, snowboarding, roller hockey – the list goes on and on. But we want to talk about a sport that’s always making waves – Swimming.

There are loads of interesting facts about how good swimming is for you. But the most important thing is that it’s great fun and a way to be healthy, no matter your age.

When you swim, you’re using every part of your body to keep yourself bobbing along so, even if you don’t like putting your head in the water, you’re getting a great workout. And the more effort you put in, the more you’ll get out.

We understand that loads of people are scared of the water. So at Glasgow Sport, we have loads of friendly swimming instructors who are always happy to help. They make learning to swim great fun with lots of games and practices that help you get confident in the water.

And the best part is that all Glasgow Kidz Card holders get a £6.40 discount on a block of 10 swimming lessons.

So why not give it a go? It’s a great life skill to have. And of course you can use your Kidz Card to swim for FREE any day, any time and in any of Glasgow Life’s pools across the city. So come and join us for a whole lot of fun!
